Description
Autumn Leaves is an ideal choice for your second jazz guitar lesson.  A jazz standard, it has been recorded by many jazz greats including Oscar Peterson, Miles Davis, Stan Getz and Wynton Marsalis. Originally a 1945 French song "Les Feuilles Mortes" ("Dead Leaves") with music by Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Prévert, English lyrics were written in 1949 by American songwriter Johnny Mercer.  The film Autumn Leaves (1956) featured the song, which was sung by Nat King Cole over the title sequence.
